Social Skills Group For Children Ages 9-11

Oct. 9, 2018 | Tuesday nights | Runs for 8 weeks | 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Social Skills Group For Children Ages 9-11 is a small, play- and CBT-based (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) group facilitated by a child and family counsellor with expertise in social-emotional development. The program is designed to help your child grow in a number of key areas around socialization, conflict management, anxiety and stress reduction, problem solving and more. Transformations

Sept. 19 - Nov. 21, 2018 | 6:00pm – 8:30pm

This is a 10-week program. Each session is approx. 2 ½ hours in length.

The program will provide you with the tools and techniques to deal with anger in a positive and effective way:

  • Learn direct, firm, respectful communication
  • Become more assertive
  • Turn “volume” down on thoughts of anger

Cost $400  |  $40 individual pre-group session

Please note that most extended health insurance plans will likely cover this group.

The Counselling Group is highly committed to the education and training of counselling professionals. Interns are offered an opportunity to develop professional skills within a supportive environment. TCG may be able to opportunities to gain experience in a broad spectrum of counselling situations including intake assessment, individual, child and family, couple and group counselling
